Location
Location is a location pin pointed by coordinate system. Latitude is the line going horizontally. Each latitude line is 111km away from each other. The latitudes 0o point is the equator. 90 degrees north is the north pole and 90 degrees south the South Pole. Longitude is the vertical lines in the earth. Each line has a difference of 111km from each other. The longitudes zero degree point is greenwich. Every 180 degrees from greenwich is the international dateline in the Pacific Ocean. The latitude and longitude is measured with time. Every degree is 1 hour. it could be divided into seconds and milliseconds. Absolute location is the exact location of a place. Coordinates show absolute locations because they are very exact. Relative locations are locations directed by its existence. For example, a tree is in front of a school. Cardinal location is the name of the positioning system. The example of an Absolute location is the three small islands given a white square in the map below. They have coordinates that show where it is. An example of a relative location is The island of Java. The island of java could be spotted in the map by saying it is below Borneo or say it is south of Borneo. These are the two ways you could use relative locations.
This map has latitude and longitude lines that are roughly in scale.

This is a map of Indonesia. Indonesia has more than 17000 islands but most of them are small. There are 5 main islands, Java which is in the south, Sumatra which is in the west, Borneo in the north, Sulawesi/Celebes in the north and Papua in the east. These are the large islands forming the main characteristics of Indonesia. The white squares on the map are the most south, east, north, and west part of Indonesia. 1 is a small island in the Java strait. Java strait is the trail used by the dutch colonist to acces Southeast Nusa. The most east is located in Papua. This area is really big and high. It is called the Merauke region. The most north is a small island near Sulawesi/Celebes that is quite near to the philipines. The most west is a small island near the province of Ninggaroe Aceh Darroesalam called Sabang.
